Power Management / Power Limiter¶
Purpose¶
Power Management / Power Limiter protects the electrical system by limiting propulsion demand according to available power.
Responsibilities¶
- Calculate available propulsion power.
- Limit speed, torque, or thrust demand.
- Coordinate with generator, battery, or grid constraints.
- Report active limiting and remaining margin.
Key Interfaces¶
| Interface | Direction | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Power availability | Input | Available power or load margin |
| Propulsion demand | Input | Requested propulsion output |
| Limited demand | Output | Demand after power limiting |
Notes¶
Limit behavior should be smooth and predictable to avoid oscillation or unexpected command jumps.
